The Baby, by Pablo Rivero

The issue of social networks and their abysses fictionalized from a fresh perspective. Because not everything can be abysses around social networks. In fact, I would like to have seen this current world of ours confined without a bad whatsapp with which to chat in a group or a twitter account in which to dispatch at ease with fatality, speakers corner roll, without any filter.

Ramblings aside, Pablo rivero brings us closer to a Solomonic proposal regarding all that of the networks seen from dichotomous notions of good or what is necessary and evil or perdition. In the friction between both parties this interesting backstory and fast-paced rhythm slips...

Lucas, the most famous boy in Spain, has disappeared. With over a million followers on social media, she stars in a popular cookie ad alongside Sweet Bunny, a huge, enigmatic white stuffed rabbit.

Candela, a Civil Guard lieutenant in the midst of a vital crisis, takes charge of the case and begins a fast-paced countdown to determine if it is a kidnapping, a case of vicarious violence or if it could be related to the dangers of sharenting -the Exposure of minors by their parents on the Internet. In his quest to solve the mystery, he will have to avoid the intrusions of Adriana, the boy's mother, and Judith, his teenage sister, both determined to be successful influencers.

The hatchling is a disturbing, murky and terrifying story. A heartbreaking duel between two mothers who raise their children in opposite ways, raising a big question: what is more dangerous: exposure on the networks or trying to keep them out? The nightmare begins.

Once again, Pablo Rivero, with his unique voice and cinematographic style, accurately constructs a puzzle that puts his finger on the sore spot on social issues of the utmost importance. The Brood isn't just a fast-paced thriller, it's also an extreme reading experience.
